Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I’ve just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you’re doing and listen.

But first, wow, it’s been a long time.  The place looks about the same.  You’re looking good.  Did you lose weight?  Well done.  I have decided to come out of seclusion to celebrate the one year birthday of Yelling Near You.  That’s right, one year ago today the first post went up and the rest is a sporadic spattering of posts.  Some funny, some not funny.

Horrifying news has been crawling across the internet for the past several days.  A shortage of bacon is predicted to occur in 2013.  Prices will rise.  Shelves will be empty.  Arteries will clog at a far slower rate.  Oh the humanity.  Stock up now, before it’s too late.  I don’t want to waste the precious time to link to any of the stories, but they’re easily searchable.

It’s been a fun year, despite my shameful lack of dedication to posting regularly.  I’ve met several awesome people from all over.  I’m sorry to all of you for not keeping up on reading and commenting as of late.  There’s really no excuse.  Thanks for being a blogging friend and I’ll see about being a better friend this year.

For year two I am ambitiously going to post not once but twice every day.  Just kidding.  How about we see how it goes and I’ll try to be a bit more regular in posting.  That’s all today.  See you tomorrow?
